Our Big Ski Trip! Photo Essay! Day One!
Matthew and I had a great time out west skiing with everyone.
4 resorts, in 4 days, in 4 states!

The best day, weather-wise, was our first day at Silver Mountain in Idaho. Blue skies, plenty of sunshine, tons of packed powder snow. This resort has had 400" of snow this year!
We skied the whole mountain and we were
very pleased we could keep up with Daddy,
who carves down the mountain like a
bat out of hell....
Matthew got a kick out of this "Ski this and you'll
die" warning sign. With the amount of snow out
west this year, combined with the fact that some
skiers were lost this year in avalanches, we
followed the sign's advice.

Our favorite trail was a groomed black diamond and it's name says it all...
Back in Spokane, Mother cooked up Shrimp Scampi over Fettuccine. She was amazed when her 16 year-old grandson inhaled his dinner, ate half of mine, and was then busy looking around for more food...Labels: food, Matthew, skiing, vacation
