I Made the Front Page

Here's my orchestra, the JCO, in rehearsal. Our concert was this afternoon. It was well recieved, and we even played a Strauss polka for an encore.10/21/2006 - Jamestown Area Community Orchestra members are shown practicing for Sunday’s Autumn Concert. The Jamestown Area Community Orchestra is performing its Autumn Concert at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at First Covenant Church, 520 Spring St., Jamestown, conducted by Andrew D. Coccagnia. The Jamestown Area Community Orchestra is made up of adults performing in an ensemble. The ensemble features professional music educators and people working in other professional areas. The group is directed by Coccagnia, the band director at Washington Middle School in Jamestown. The orchestra gives two concerts each year, one in the fall and the other in the spring. The October concert will feature works such as the St Lawrence Overture, Autumn Leaves, a Barry Manilow Medley and the Carmen Suite for Orchestra.
